This rod was designed to tackle even the largest Marlin that swims in our oceans. During testing, this rod was responsible for catching fish to over 1,000 lbs in weight! The XT is ideally suited to fish with IGFA standard 80lb class lines and lures.

When we told our consultants that we was going to design an 80lb class multi-piece travel rod, they really thought that we were crazy! But after many prototypes, we are now happy and proud that we have the best travel rod for this discipline currently available.

We selected the best quality carbons and mixed them with some secret weaves to come up with a light, extremely strong, but at the same time sensitive model.

The Stand Up XT has been furnished with the very best American Stewart fittings, both with the roller guides, reel fitting and Gimbal.

When used in conjunction with a full harness, the length, power and positioning, in particular of the reel seat, allows you to get to work on those monster Marlin with the utmost efficiency.

This model will cope with modern braids up to 100 lbs in breaking strain as well as a standard 80 class conventional or multiplying reel.

The Stand Up XT comes in a very smart travel case, with a transportation length of only 20.5 inches which is not only zipped for easy access, but also features a high quality internal protective cloth bag.
